The Blues scored four goals in the first period, with Jordan Kyrou netting two and Snuggerud scoring his first NHL goal. Clayton Keller scored Utah's lone goal. This win secured St. Louis' 46th playoff appearance, setting them up to face the Winnipeg Jets.

Blues v WPG: The Blues came out strong in Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round, building a 3-2 lead through 40 minutes with goals from Kyrou, Jake Neighbours, and Oskar Sundqvist—who tied the game late 2-2 with less than two minutes to play in the first period. The Jets rallied in the third for a 5-3 win at Canada Life Centre. St. Louis managed just two shots on goal in the final frame, forced into a defensive posture as the Jets relentlessly pressed.
