Blues Back Home
The St. Louis Blues begin a quick two-game homestand tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Blues have played well at Enterprise Center lately with a record of 4-1-1 in their last six.
Blues Slumping
However, the Blues come into tonight’s action on a three-game losing streak after picking up no points on their road trip to Chicago, Utah, and Vegas. They lost each game by multiple goals.
The Blues lit the lamp just 7 times on the trip, and they now have scored more than 3 goals just 4 times since November 15th.
First-Place Canes
The Hurricanes arrive in St. Louis atop the Eastern Conference with 60 points. They have excelled away from home this season with a 12-6-3 road record.
The Hurricanes are in a bounceback spot tonight after seeing their four-game winning streak come to end in a 4-3 overtime loss at Detroit last night.
My Lean
The vibes are bad with the Blues right now, and I get the sense reality is setting in that this is not their year and we could see some pieces sold off at the upcoming trade deadline.
If you’re going to bet this one, I would roll with Carolina to win by margin. Maybe the Blues will put forth a strong effort on home ice, but I’m more confident in the best team in the Eastern Conference not to lose two games in a row.
The Hurricanes have played seven previous back-to-back’s this season, only losing both legs one time - and that was a challenging pair of road games at Florida and Tampa Bay. I think Carolina continues the Blues’ misery this evening.
Lean: Hurricanes -1.5 at +145 on DraftKings
