Blues Head To Nashville

The St. Louis Blues are in a stretch of five out of six games at home, and the only road game comes tonight against the Nashville Predators.

After tonight’s matchup, the Blues will head home for four straight against Chicago, Nashville, Winnipeg, and the New York Rangers.

Blues Look For Bounceback

The Blues failed to win a third straight game last time out, falling 5-2 to Boston on Tuesday. Now they head back on the road where they have earned at least one point in seven of their last nine games (4-2-3).

The Blues swept the season series last year, taking all four meetings from the Preds.

Predators Playing Better

The Predators are in last place in the Central Division, sitting 3 points behind the Blues. Nashville has been improved lately though, having won three of four games here in December.

The Predators are coming off a big-time win in their last game, as they beat the NHL-leading Avalanche 4-3 in a shootout.

My Pick

This line opened right around a pick ‘em, but we have seen line movement toward the Predators here on Thursday.

But I want to fade that movement and hop on the Blues here for a small play.

We’ve seen the season-long pattern continue so far this month where the underdog has emerged victorious in all five Blues games here in December. For the season, the Blues are a profitable 9-9 on the moneyline as a dog, but a woeful 2-11 on the moneyline as a favorite.

These teams are closely bunched up in points, goals scored, and goal against. This is a toss-up game, so in that case, I like sprinkling the dog at plus money.

Pick: Blues on the moneyline at +105 on DraftKings (bet to +100)
