The St. Louis Cardinals hope to maintain their perfect record when they open a three-game series tonight at Busch Stadium against the Los Angeles Angels.

Cards’ Offense On Fire

Those eye-popping numbers have been achieved without Willson Contreras contributing anything offensively, as he’s 0-for-14 out of the gate after having a massive spring training.
Angels Struggle To Score
The Angels come to St. Louis with a 2-1 record, but they were not exactly impressive in their season-opening series against the lowly Chicago White Sox. LA managed only five runs scored across those three games.

My Pick
I don’t trust Miles Mikolas enough to bet the Cards to win at a pretty sizable price.
But I’m confident that this is the night we see Contreras break out. He has mashed lefties in his career to the tune of an .873 OPS, and he has a home run and a .905 OPS in 22 career at-bats against Anderson.
I’m going to buy the dip and head to DraftKings for a batter prop, and I’m going to bet over 1.5 combined hits, runs, and RBI for Contreras. So if his combined number of hits, runs, and RBI total at least 2 tonight, this is a winning bet.
