Dylan Holloway has been on first as of late and is one of the key reasons why the St. Louis Blues have gone from the outside looking into the NHL playoffs to one of the hottest teams in sports. According to The Daily Faceoff, as of March 26, Holloway has had 52 points in the 51 games since new head coach Jim Montgomery took over.

Holloway then added two more points in the Blues’ 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators, including the goal that would ultimately wind up being the game-winner. For his efforts during the week of March 24-30, he was named the league's Third Star of the Week.

The 2024-25 season has been kind to Holloway, to say the least. In 75 games, Holloway has 26 goals and 36 assists, good for 62 total points, tied for second in total team points with Jordan Kyrou. He had just 18 total points in two years in Edmonton and has taken off since coming to the Blues.

Holloway was drafted 14th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2020 NHL Draft. After a short stint in the Oilers’ AHL affiliate Bakersfield, he made his debut in game seven of the 2022 Western Conference Finals, where his team was eliminated by the Colorado Avalanche. He then bounced between the majors and minors for his two seasons before signing a two-year, $2.29 million AAV offer sheet with the Blues during the 2024 offseason.
Holloway was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on September 23, 2001. He represented Canada in multiple international tournaments, including World Juniors, the Under 18 and Under 17 tournaments, and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. He played three seasons with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey league before playing college hockey at Wisconsin for two seasons. He won the AJHL MVP and was named CJHL Player of the Year in 2019.
