By The Numbers: St. Louis Blues vs. Edmonton Oilers (gambling fantasy )

Blues (24-25-4, 52 points) vs Oilers (32-16-4, 68 points), 7pm Tuesday

Odds: Oilers -185, Blues +150

Total: 6 (over and under both -110)

The Blues play the first of six consecutive home games on Tuesday when they welcome the Oilers to Enterprise Center.

The Blues snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win at Utah on Sunday night. While nice to break the skid, it would be disingenuous to feel confident that they’ve gotten back on track. Utah also came into that game on a four-game losing streak, so somebody had to come out on top.

The Blues are simply finding it very difficult to put the puck in the back of the net lately. They’re scored more than two goals just twice in the last ten games, and that’s not a good trend heading into a matchup with an explosive Edmonton team.

The Oilers head to St. Louis in first place in the Pacific Division but losers of their last two games. Edmonton hasn’t dropped three in a row since the opening three games of the season, so it seems likely this team is due to respond with a good performance.

The Oilers doubled up the Blues 4-2 in their previous meeting this season back on December 7th in Edmonton. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a similar scoreline on Tuesday.

Pick: Oilers to win in regulation -105
